Revitalize Your Smile with Veneers
Stains, chips or gaps between teeth don’t have to mean an end to your vibrant smile. Veneers are thin shells of highly esthetic ceramic, fabricated by a talented technician, that are bonded to the front of your tooth surface and can restore your smile’s appearance. Designed to mimic the natural translucency of enamel, veneers look and feel like your natural teeth. Veneers have the benefit of being resistant to staining and are not affected by things like coffee, tea, and cigarettes.
Reasons to Choose Veneers
If you want to straighten crooked teeth, repair cracks, or remove deep discolorations, porcelain veneers can completely transform your smile. Blending artistry and science, we will select veneers that compliment your other teeth, facial features and personality. Many patients select veneers because they:
- Look natural
- Offer strength and durability
- Renew your smile and boost confidence
What are the steps to get veneers?
Our first step is to do a comprehensive examination to learn about your concerns and goals, make sure that your mouth is healthy, determine if you are a good candidate for veneers, and provide you with a cost estimate. Our next step will be to take impressions of your teeth and fabricate a wax up of your new smile. You will then return to view the wax up of your teeth and can provide us with any input on changes that you would like to be made prior to starting the process. We can even provide you with a “trial smile” where we can temporarily overlay white filling material onto your teeth to show you how the veneers will look in your mouth BEFORE you actually start the process. Upon your approval, we will schedule you to return to prep your teeth and place temporary veneers. To prepare your teeth, we remove about a half millimeter of the enamel, which allows for the thickness of the veneer. We also do a digital scan of your teeth at this appointment that we send to a highly skilled lab technician who will artistically craft your veneers. You will then return several weeks later to have the temporary veneers removed and the final veneers cemented in.
How much do veneers cost?
It is difficult to give you an estimate on the price because each set of veneers is specifically designed for that individual patient. During your consultation appointment, we will discuss your goals, evaluate your mouth, and create a complete plan for redesigning your smile. At that time, we will review costs and payment options.
Can I just whiten my teeth instead?
In some cases, professional teeth whitening can brighten your smile and revive your appearance. When you have gaps, permanent stains, or chips, bleaching your teeth won’t address these issues. Ceramic veneers cover the teeth and create a straight, attractive smile.
Does it take a long time to get veneers?
Most of the time, patients complete the whole process in four to six weeks. During this time, you will have an initial exam, have prepare the teeth, and return for final placement.
