FAQs

Here are some of the most frequently asked questions about dental care. For more information, visit the American Dental Association website.

Going to the dentist gives me anxiety. Is there anything you can do to help me relax?

Yes! We understand that many patients have concerns about receiving dental treatment, and for various reasons. We encourage you to be open with us and let us know your concerns, and we are more than willing to find solutions to make your experience better! Our friendly staff are here to serve you and make you comfortable, and we have a number of options available to help patients who are nervous.

How often do I need to visit the dentist?

This is a great question, and the answer will depend on each individual. For a patient with good oral hygiene and a healthy mouth, we typically recommend coming in twice a year. Even a person with great oral hygiene will build up tartar in certain areas of their mouth that cannot be removed with a toothbrush or floss. In addition, doing an examination twice a year will allow us to catch any signs of cavities when they are very small, as well as give us an opportunity to do an oral cancer screening!
