First Visit
Upon making your first appointment, you will be emailed a link where you can complete your new patient forms electronically. We ask that the new patient forms be completed at least 3 days prior to your first visit so that we have time to review them prior to your appointment!
We request that you call your previous dental office to have your clinical records and xrays emailed to us immediately. If records are not received by our office in time for your first visit, we will need to take additional x-rays at your first visit, which may not be covered by your insurance. Records should be emailed to info@smilesofgroton.com.
What to Expect
During your first visit with us, you will initially be seen by one of our hygienists who will review your medical and dental history, chart existing dental conditions, measure your gum pockets to determine the type of cleaning you will need, update x-rays. You will be seen by either Dr. Marc or Dr. Molly, who will do a comprehensive exam and develop a treatment plan based on any dental needs. We encourage you to be open with us about any questions or concerns regarding your dental care or previous dental experiences!
Antibiotic Premedication
If you have been told to pre-medicate with antibiotics prior to dental work, please take them as prescribed before your appointment. If you are not sure if you need antibiotics, please contact your doctor prior to your visit.
